TV cameras to be allowed in Court

TV cameras will be allowed into the Court of Appeal from October. The Government has already announced plans to allow filming in the Crown Court, but no date has yet been fixed. The Lord Chief Justice has warned that cameras in Court may deter witnesses and provoke disruptions.

Crown Court filming will only apply to the Judge’s sentencing remarks and there are no plans to allow filming of any kind in other Courts.
