Following a rarely used legal procedure, Richard Silver Solicitors have won back a client’s driving licence which the DVLA had refused to issue on medical grounds. In desperate need of a licence for his work, and after a recommendation by another client, the driver approached us.
As a result of our intervention and an Appeal to the Magistrates’ Court against the refusal, the DVLA eventually agreed to settle out of Court and issue an immediate licence.
This case again illustrates the importance of specialist legal advice at an early stage, particularly when dealing with government organizations such as the DVLA.
