The legal team is led by:

Richard Silver

Richard Silver qualified in 1986 and is the firm’s Senior Solicitor. With over 20 years' experience, including eight with the Crown Prosecution Service, he is a criminal defence specialist and deals exclusively with criminal and motoring cases. He has Higher Courts Rights of Audience, is a member of the Solicitors' Association of Higher Court Advocates, an accredited Duty Solicitor and is also a member of the Manchester Law Society Criminal Law Committee.

He regularly appears in Magistrates’ Courts all over the country and has also represented clients in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal. His clients include professional footballers and well-known actors, and come from all walks of life, many having been referred by other Solicitors and Barristers or recommended by existing clients.

Richard is a motoring enthusiast, who rides a Triumph motorbike and has a classic 1969 MGB Roadster. He also spends time skiing, hill-walking and mountain biking.

 

Alison Mafham has been a Solicitor since 2003 and joined the practice as an Associate in 2004.

She is a Criminal defence specialist with substantial experience and deals exclusively with criminal cases. She is an accredited Duty Solicitor who regularly appears in the Magistrates and Youth Courts, and has a particular interest in young people. She also handles a substantial number of Crown Court cases. Many new clients have approached her following  recommendations by  existing clients.

In her spare time, Alison is keen on modern art, theatre and hill-walking.
